Funky Town – Sours, Saison & Funky Beers: A la carte or Tasting Ticket choose 4 (4 ounce pours) for $15
Downstairs pours begin at 3pm
- Stillwater Lower Dens – Part of Stillwater’s sensory series named after musicians. Lower Dens is a 4 piece musical group in Brian Sturmkes hometown of Baltimore. This beer is a Hibiscus & Rose Saison with a very delicate lacing of smoke on dark fruits. 6% ABV
- Local Option Gose – A Chicago based brew pub producing eclectic and hard to find beers. They do not regularly bottle so you have to happen on to the occasional draft they send out of Chicago or New York. This particular beer is a modern interpretation of the ancient German style. A slightly salty sour ale meant to be refreshing and re hydrating. 4.5% ABV
- Hill Farmstead La Vermontoise – The result of a collaboration with one of our favorite Belgian Saison brewers, Blaugies. Herbal cloves and yeast.
Upstairs pours begin at 5pm
- Against the Grain Tickle Me Ale-Mo – Funky Red Ale from Kentucky. Very little of this was made so there is almost no background information. 7.9% ABV
- Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel #2 – Second in a the Barrel aged series from Houston Texas this is a an old ale aged with sour cherries in Chardonnay barrels 7.8& ABV
- Jolly Pumpkin Sobrehumano – From Michigan this is a wild ale made in collaboration with Maui Brewing. Brewed with Michigan sour cherries and the liliko’i( passion fruit). 6% ABV
- Hill Farmstead / Fantome Collaboration – When this beer arrived it was not ready to pour. Shelton brothers told us to cellar it for at least two months to allow the re-fermenation process to complete. Many shops put this beer on their shelves right away so people that tasted it then will have tried a completely different beer. Made with Fantome’s famous wild yeast strains it has subtle grapeskin flavors and a lacing of smoke, strong carbonation and lightly tart.
Thursday May 16th
Hop Head Night (aka Kill Your Palate Night): A la carte or Tasting Ticket - Tasting Ticket $14 (choose 5 four ounce pours)
Downstairs pours begin at 3pm
- Tin Roof Double Dry Hopped Juke Joint IPA – Tin Roof spring seasonal is a citus and pine, but balanced IPA. Appraches West Coast but not quite and certainly suitable for our old school palates. This version dry hopped for extra bite. 7% ABV $6 pint $2 four ounce pour
- Stone Double Dry Hopped Ruination - Stone’s award winning Imperial IPA with an extra hefty dose of Simcoe hops in the finish. Lives up to its name as it will ruin your palate. 7.7%ABV $7 pint or $2 a four ounce pour
- Lazy Magnolia Double Dry Hopped Timber Beast on gravity - Lazy Magnolia’s Imperial Rye IPA with extra hops. 9% ABV $6 pint or $2 four ounce pour
- Covington Brewhouse Bombastic IPA - A collaboration between the new brewers at Covington Brewhouse and the home brewers of the north shore. This recipe was the contest winner of their IPA home brewing contest. $6 pint $2 four ounce pour
- Sierra Nevada Hoptimum - Originally a “Beer Camp Beer”, this was created by amateur brewers with the help of the Sierra Nevada brewing staff for their annual “Beer Camp” series. A huge and immediate success, SN decided to rebrew it on a regular basis. Still quite limited, this has notes of rose, lilac and grapefruit rind in an aggressively hopped but balanced beer. 10.4% ABV $5.25 Ten ounce or $2.25
- Upstairs pours begin at 5pm
- Brash The Bollocks Double IPA – The brewer lives in Houston but brews in Massachusetts. This is BIG over the top Imperial IPA. At 12 % ABV and an off the charts IBU this is not a training wheels IPA. $10 ounce pour or $3 four ounce pour
- Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere - The most tame and balanced IPA on the menu tonight. This is Sierra annual IPA made exclusively with fresh hop cones less than a week away from their harvest in New Zealand. 6.7% ABV $6 pint $2 four ounce
- NOLA Double Dry Hopped Mechahopzilla on gravity - Bitter strong hop bomb named for its brewers who nick name is “Hopzilla”. 8.8% ABV $7.50 pint or $2.50 four ounce pour
