Mardi Gras
How to endear yourselves to us during Mardi Gras:
- Know what you want to order before you get the bartenders attention
- Please stay off your cell phone when ordering
- order and pay for food in the kitchen ( they have credit card capability now)
- Don't yell our bartenders names out loud at the bar to get their
attention. This will be heard by everyone in the bar and then becomes a
nightmare
- Try not to order and charge one drink at a time. The credit card fees
kill us and all the little orders really slow down the service. Every credit
card or debit card transaction costs us at least 30 cents. Those reward cards
are now up to 50 cents
- Tell the bartender all the drinks you want up front and not add one at a time
as they get you each drink
- We love seeing our regular customers during this season but please don't be
offended if we don't have time to chat like we usually do
- Make sure you have a "to go cup" if you're going outside
- A smile goes a long way when we've been behind the bar for 12 hours or more.
- PLEASE REMEMBER TO TIP YOUR BARTENDER
We know its hard to share your favorite bar with all those
"one time a year customers". The money we make at this time of
year pays for all the great improvements you will see for the
beer like new tap lines that are customized for hard to pour
European imports, more Cask Ale, imroved draft system on the
balcony etc etc. It also allows us to take chances on oddball
hard to sell beers we might not have the nerve to try otherwise.
Dieu de Ciel Pech Mortel and Rigor Mortis is on the list for
March for example.
Thanks for your patience! We hope to see you at the parades!
